CORTIJO GUERRERO is situated in a quiet, rural area in the heart of the Axarquia in a hidden valley above the Vinuela reservoir and at the foot of Maroma mountain (2,060 metres high). It is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves and the gently sloping mountains to the east of Malaga province. It is an area with a real Andalusian feel. The nearest village, Sedella, 3 kilometres away, is a lovely place with a selection of bars and restaurants and a long winemaking tradition.
 
The house has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a living room with open kitchen and a rustic-style fireplace. CORTIJO GUERRERO was built about 200 years ago in the traditional style of the region. The owner, Maria, spent the first years of her childhood in this country house before the family moved to the village.
Wood-panelled ceiling beams, the sloping tiled roof and the extra thick stone walls are all reminiscent of the original style and give character to the property.The country house is simply furnished and scores with its character and the beautiful outdoor area. The self catering kitchen has a Vitrocermaic cooktop, an oven and a large freezer with ice box. 
 
A small part of the access road is unpaved but the house is still accessible with any type of car and there are parking places within the grounds of the house where, on arrival, the lovely pool is immediately in sight. The pool terrace, however, and the other outdoor areas are offering total privacy to enjoy the peace and tranquility.
 
Next to the entrance there is a covered terrace with dining table and seating in front of the house. The living room is the first room upon entering and then there is a small hallway leading to the bathroom and the 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and the first one (walk-through bedroom) with two singles. Outside there is an array of places to sit and relax both in and out of the shade.

Malaga Airport is approximately 70 minutes by car from the house. Among the recommended beaches are Torre del Mar and Almayate, 30 minutes away.
