The holiday house is situated on a nearly 4000 square meters of land surrounded by an L-shaped terrace in an area with several detached houses above the road from Nerja to Frigiliana. From here you have a magnificent view of the mountains of the Almijara in the east and on the south and west on Nerja and the sea.
This spacious house (150 sqm) breathes history! It was built in 1956 by an English colonel and taken over in 1970 by the parents of the current owner.

The large, kidney-shaped swimming pool is located in a protected by walls and hedges area. Here are sun loungers, an outdoor shower and a quiet seating area under an open, shady pavilion available.
The well-kept and beautiful garden can be explored on gravel paths. If you miss something while cooking, you will find in the garden - depending on the season avocados, lemons, almonds, pomegranates, grapes, apricots, tangerines .......

The house: You enter your holiday home via a small closed hall, in which a wrought-iron chandelier gives warm light. The grandfather of the homeowner forged it as a bridal gift for his wife.
From the entrance you go straight into the courtyard, to the right branches off the spacious and bright living room. Here you will find two sitting areas, one by the fireplace, a second to read and watch TV.
A good selection of games and books for cozy evenings is available. Some pictures and art objects tell of the owners' love for the land and its people.
The dining area with the large table invites you to extensive tables!
From here you now come in the simple but well-maintained and superbly equipped kitchen.

The house is, as usual in Andalusia, built around a "patio" (courtyard 150 square meters), where you can eat comfortably. Also, there is always a shady spot to linger under the porticos.
Depending on the season, hibiscus, trumpet flowers and jasmine bloom. Especially beautiful is the corner with the big, decades old elephant ears.

From the patio, the 3 bedrooms each have their own bathroom.
- The "blue room" is particularly suitable for guests who want to retreat to an intimate setting. Cypress trees provide light shade, two sitting areas invite you to rest.

- The "Donkey Room" is centrally located and offers a magnificent view of the bay and the sea and a comfortable seating area with a table. The "Burriana Beach" painted by the Colonel gives an idea of ​​how isolated this holiday destination, once so lively, once was. Tiled en-suite bathroom with bathtub and shower facilities and hand basin and toilet.
- The "small room" with lots of white allows the view of the mountains and on the Baumaloe located in front of the windows. Above the bed hangs another painting painted by the Colonel - from the Bay of Maro.

All three bedrooms have air conditioning, king-size beds with mite-protected single mattresses and fitted wardrobes stocked with linens & towels.

While a small sofa is available in the white room, the larger rooms each have a cozy rattan furniture seating area with a table.

If you leave the patio "backwards" towards the farmyard, you will find the washing machine and the dryer in a chamber.
For guests there is an outdoor grill, beach chairs, beach mats, umbrellas and various water toys available.

Shopping: In 5 minutes you can walk to a organic nursery where you can buy organically grown vegetables and fruits, goat's cheese, eggs and other organic foods.

In 5 minutes by car you reach the town of Nerja. In addition to beautiful beaches, it also has a charming town center and a good infrastructure with boutiques of all kinds, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants.
The well-known town of Frigiliana with its historic cobbled streets can be reached in just a few minutes. Between Nerja and Almuñecar lies an unspoilt natural area with several bays and the most beautiful beaches of the Costa del Sol. It is 45 minutes to Malaga airport.
