Costa Tropical

The COSTA TROPICAL is the stretch of coast that belongs to the province of Granada. Here, the high mountains of the Sierra Nevada meet the seashore and the imposing landscape alternates between mountain views, green plains, lively coastal towns, bays and long beaches.

The Costa Tropical got its name from the unique subtropical microclimate that you will not find anywhere else in Europe.

Protected by the summits of the Sierra Nevada in the north and the mild winds of North Africa from the south, the cultivation of subtropical fruits such as avocados, mangos and chirimoyas is possible here during all seasons.

Due to these climatic conditions, the "Costa Tropical" is an ideal holiday destination in every season.
The proximity to the snow-capped mountains of the Sierra Nevada makes it possible to enjoy the ski runs at the ski resort in the morning and to take a warm bath in the sea in the afternoon . An unbeatable combination!

Many kilometers of well-maintained beaches and picturesque bays invite you to sunbathe and relax.

The Costa Tropical is a mecca for all types of water sports, as the Mediterranean is calmer here than further to the west. Again and again, this coastal zone wins environmental badges for its cleanliness.

In addition, guests will also find a wide range of cultural activities and numerous sports: fortress ruins, winding streets, flamenco events, jazz festivals, horseback riding, golf, paragliding, hiking trails along the coast, etc.
Thanks to the mild winter, outdoor activities are possible in every season.

The sea and the Arabian descent determine the cuisine of the Costa Tropical. If you want to cater for yourself, you will find freshly caught fish and seafood at the market halls of the coastal towns, as well as a large selection of locally grown fruits and vegetables from the region.

Our cottages, fincas and apartments at the Costa Tropical can be found in and around the places: Motril, Salobreña, Almuñecar / La Herradura
.

The villages are easily accessible via a well-developed motorway / road network from the airports of Málaga and Granada (about 95 km).

The ACANTILADOS DE MARO-CERRO GORDO LANDSCAPE AREA, which connects Costa Tropical and Costa del Sol, is just a few kilometers from Almuñecar (Granada) and Nerja (Málaga). This picturesque stretch of coastline, with its small coves and stunning cliffs, offers spectacular natural beaches which, with crystal clear waters and beautiful surroundings, are among the best beaches in Andalusia.

Active vacationers should not miss the adjacent Natural Parks PARQUE NATURAL SIERRAS DE TEJEDA, ALMIJARA Y ALHAMA. This is still one of the insider tips. After the tour, hikers can treat themselves to a bath in the Mediterranean!

Costa del Sol

The "Sun Coast" COSTA DEL SOL stretches from Gibraltar to the border with Granada near Nerja.
This multi-faceted region is arguably Andalucia's most famous and has numerous beautiful beaches and over 325 days of sunshine a year.

Our range of holiday homes and apartments is limited here to the east of Málaga a more tranquil part of the Costa del Sol, near the coastal towns of Nerja and Almayate and the somewhat inland holiday homes overlooking the sea at Frigiliana (Axarquia).

The charming seaside town of Nerja offers beautiful beaches, a beautiful old town and the "Balcon de Europa" lookout point with a first-class view of the coastline and the Mediterranean Sea. The caves "Cuevas de Nerja", which are famous beyond Spain, are very impressive and always worth a visit.

The direct environment of the small village Almayate is dominated by agriculture and is separated by the coastal road CN-340 from a not yet built-up beach section.

This quiet stretch of coast is located east of the bustling coastal town of Torre del Mar which offers a well-kept, spacious beach promenade with great views and good tourist infrastructure.
