Spacious country house with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & private pool inmidst the Alpujarra Nature Park

The beautiful country house Finca la Era with private pool, is situated in the midst of the province of Granada, approximately 17 minutes drive above Orgiva, at a height of about 550 meters. There are magnificent views over the southern side of the Sierra Nevada to the Costa Tropical. The holiday house is easy to get to by car and only the last 300 meters to the house are unpaved.

On arrival, one enters the property through the large 15 metres long terrace. Underneth the terrace with its
breathtaking views is the 8 x 3,5 m pool, view-protected and very private surrounded by a lovely garden, with rose bushes, flower beds, mimosa, pepper trees and pines. The house and grounds comprise 1,500 m² and are completely enclosed by fences for maximum privacy. There is a shaded area beside the pool as well as garden furniture and sun loungers.

The main entrance to the house is on the south side through the kitchen. But there are balcony doors in the living room and in the master bedroom with French windows that open to the south facing terrace. The kitchen leads outside onto a shaded patio (by grape vines) with garden furnitures and moveable barbecue. All in all Finca la Era is a spaceful, welcoming house in a very tranquil and green setting.

The front part of the house comprises the kitchen, living room and master bedroom.
To the rear, there are  the central diningroom 2 bedrooms (all with windows overlooking the gardens) and 2 bathrooms (one with bath tub and another with shower).

The nearest place for shopping is Pampaneira, a whitewashed Alpujarran mountain village, typical of the traditional Moorish architecture of the area. It is a great place to wonder around the shops and winding streets and there is a good selection of tea rooms, bars and restaurants.

There is also a restaurant within a 5 minutes drive distance of the house and Orgiva is nearby for banks, supermarkets and other supplies. The beaches along the Costa Tropical, well worth a visit, are a 50 minute drive way, as is Granada and the famous Alhambra Palace and, a little further, the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada.

In the winter firewood is supplied for one day and subsequently charged at 12 EUR a wheel barrow.
Pets are permitted with prior arrangement and deposit of 150 EUR. The estate is fenced in so that pets cannot escape so easily.
Change over day is saturday in August and flexible for the remainder of the year.
